MatrixPost ("the extension") is a multi-platform content publishing tool. "Login sessions never leave your machine" is an architectural red line.

What we collect

Nothing. No telemetry upload, no analytics SDK, no ad identifiers. All data (drafts, scheduled tasks, account info, settings, publish receipts) lives in your browser's chrome.storage.local and is deleted on uninstall.

Where data goes (only when you explicitly enable the feature)

1. AI rewrite / AI images: only when you invoke the feature with your own API key, the selected text is sent to the AI provider you configured (OpenAI-compatible endpoint). We have no relationship with that provider. Without a key, the feature makes no network requests at all.
2. Cloud relay: off by default. Only after you enter the address and token of the control plane does the extension connect to it, transmitting only the content you submit (title/body/image URLs) and execution results.
3. MCP bridge: off by default. Listens on loopback (127.0.0.1) only, token-paired, never exposed to LAN or Internet.
4. Page scraping: only when you click "scrape" on the current page; the extracted content stays on your machine.

Platform accounts

Publishing happens inside platform pages via your already-logged-in browser session. The extension never reads, stores, or transmits any platform password or cookie.

Data deletion

Use "Settings → Clear data" in the extension, or simply uninstall it, to delete all local data. Cloud-side data lives on the relay server and is removed by deleting its data.json.
